Sun Signs
The
Sun symbolizes the ego and how it expresses itself to the outer
world. The sign in which your sun falls influences the goals you
choose and how you accomplish those goals
The
twelve sun signs are divided by month, but those divisions don't
follow the month exactly. Each month cycle begins "about"
the 21st of one month and ends "about the 21st of the next
month, give or take 1 or 2 days
The
zodiac is divided into twelve signs which represents phases of
an uninterrupted flowing cycle of growth throughout a year.
The
signs are classified by the element, quality and polarity. the
elements are fire, earth, air and water. Fire Signs
(Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are inspirational, self-motivating and
future oriented. The fire sign triplicate is characterized
by aggression and some kind of leadership. Earth Signs
(Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are practical, conservative and often
materialistic. Practically is the hallmark of the earth signs.
Air Signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are
intellectual, person-oriented, and communicative. Air signs deal
with mental abilities and intellectual attributes. Water Signs
(Cancer,Scorpio, Pisces) are emotional, intuitive and attuned
to subtle "vibrations." The focus of the water triplicate
is on the emotions and feelings, intuition, and deeper psychic
levels of life.
The
three qualities of signs are cardinal, fixed and mutable. Cardinal
signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) are initiating,
restless and goal-oriented Cardinal signs begin each season of
the year. These signs initiate change and are primal force for
each season. Fixed signs ((Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius)
are Concentrated, stubborn and persistent. They consolidate and
Make permanent that which the cardinal signs began. Mutable
signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) are adaptable
and have strong mental abilities. The mutable signs are the signs
of change and mark the termination of the old and preparation
for the new.
Signs
have a positive or negative polarity. Fire and Air Signs
are positive or self-expressive Water and earth signs are
negative or self-repressive. Positive polarity is yang
and has a nature that is outgoing. Negative polarity is
yin and is more withdrawn and introverted, receptive, reacting
to outside influences.
